I’ve been using free-hostin.com for some tests. It was free and ads free. Free cPanel with like 1Gb/25Gb and 10 domains. Well, it was almost free, users had to write 25 posts per mo. in free-hostin.com forum. Actually you could ignore that forum posts and enjoy free account. Well, after few months the company is gone including it’s website, community forum and all cPanel user accounts. So my test sites are. I had a message from server admin like 3 weeks ago, and there was no notice of server possible closure.
I had paid reseller account with hostbb.info. One beautiful day (just two days after my monthly payment) it got disappeared. Server’s DirectAdmin panel is still there but my account isn’t there anymore and company website is also gone. All whois information is fake emails left unresponded. I had to go with PayPal dispute.
Today’s webhosting business is just like this at bottom line. Make sure you working with reliable company. If you go with free account, make sure it’s just playground for you. If you paying less then 10 USD, look closer to your webhosting company, it may be gone tomorrow. Backup weekly regardless how big your webhosting company is and how much you paying.
